Hi, everyone!
I know it hasn't even been a week yet since my last blog, but I couldn't wait to share with you some fashion advice from a true fashionista, Jayce Gray. I met Jayce through a previous job called The Refinery. (Click on their name to like their fanpage on facebook!) The cool thing about Jayce is that she isn't just a sales person/manager. She also customizes TOMS at the store. Of course the major favorites have been ASU Redwolves & UofA Razorback customized TOMS. Click this link to see some of her goodies!
Jayce is from Monticello, Arkansas with a degree in Psychology. However, her true love has always been fashion. Her hobbies include art, sewing, fashion design, going to market, and modeling. Her and her husband, Ted, have made Jonesboro their home for the past year. Jayce has even given me idea's on some dress making & of course our friendship has bonded over our love of clothing & shoes.
So let's get to it! Here's Jayce's 5 MUST HAVES.
1. Boots- If you ever see Jayce she's always looking for some new cute boots! She shares, "Nude, black, brown --From booties to lace ups you can't go wrong!"
2. Scarves- Jayce recommends everyone to go for a bright color or leopard print. You can find cute scarves almost anywhere, including The Refinery where she works, or Rockstar where you can find me most of the time!
3. Skinny Jeans- Jayce advices to "..go with color this year. Red, blue, grey, black-If you want to be playful go with cheetah." --(Ah, Jayce knows I love cheetah)
4. Blazers- She suggests blazers to ".. top off your favorite shirt, jean, dress or skirt."
5. Cozy Knit Sweaters- "Pair these with leggings and jeggings, slip on your booties & you're good to go!" Jayce says.
Before we go Jayce has one more piece of fashion advice to share..
"Never put too many prints together that do not match. And make sure you are wearing contrasting colors."
I think that's solid advice to live by! If you haven't yet, go to my Fantabulous Fan fanpage www.facebook.com/gamedayfashion to see some new pictures of gameday dresses! You can also find the dresses through Rockstar, like our page here www.facebook.com/shoprockstar
See all you Fantabulous Fans on Satuday!
Go Redwolves!

Fashion & Football
Fantabulous Fan has has started off with a BANG here in Northeast Arkansas this football season. Mainly due to Casey Johnson who has so sweetly let me sell my clothes at Rockstar Clothing & Guitars on Main Street in Jonesboro, AR. Not to forget the SEC is the best conference there is! Plus we always want to look our best at games, right ladies? Well, I've come up with 3 solid pieces of advice to keep in mind while you're last minute deciding what to wear for tailgating.
1. Don't be afraid to add PRINTS!
2. IT IS okay to add a color to your outfit that is not on your mascot.
3. When in doubt, wear a belt!!
PRINTS are so in. (For my own personal style, they always will be! I definitely love me some cheetah print!) However, don't limit yourself to JUST animal print. Spice it up! Now girls, don't over do it and go with a WHOLE printed outfit, but put on a black and white striped banded skirt, or a leopard high heel. Stripes, zigzags, polka dots, funky patterns --Don't be afraid!
ADD COLOR. Yes, I know we are a red wearing group between Arkansas State & UofA, but along with that red throw in some royal blues, a little yellow, or some brown even!
BELTS can make an outfit! Most of the "T-Shirt" dresses I make for Fantabulous Fan has a glittery detachable belt made with it.. There's just something about the belt that just adds that little UMPH that you need to make the outfit complete.
Well, that's all I'm going to share with you for today. I hope it helps next time you've waited too long to get an outfit ready for a game! Can't wait to see all the new outfits come next week at Arkansas State.
Don't forget you can also design (or I can design) your next game dress! Go to to the link added here Fantabulous Fan and check them out. You can send me and e-mail to mailto:toravengates09@gmail.com , or come by Rockstar Clothing & Guitars and we will measure you. --We also have a photo album of dresses, tunic, & shirts to look through! Go check it out.
Until then,
Raven xoxo
